Here in Miami Beach, your own backyard, there is a Holocaust Memorial.
The memorial was created by a group of Holocaust survivors who sought to eternalize all those who perished at the hands of the Nazis. The Memorial was dedicated in a ceremony on February 4, 1990. The Memorial took more than four years to complete. Now all of us can visit the Holocaust Memorial. We can meditate and really appreciate the severity of this period in history, as well as what it might mean for the future. A really interesting service the Miami Beach Holocaust is that they enlist a survivor to speak with you about their experiences. Below are three survivors that live here in Miami. Click on their photographs to read their stories. |
